Watched Dark Waters over the weekend. Available on SonyLiv. It's an adaptation of a rather grim real life story.

Towards the end, the protagonist, ably played by Mark Ruffalo, says "They want us to think they protect us, but that's a lie. We protect us. We do. Nobody else."

Of course he found light towards the end of the tunnel. That makes Dark Waters an rather inspiring retelling of the David Vs Goliath story. One person can bring a change, if he/she wishes to.

And sometimes maybe you don't even have to fight the battle, but show solidarity. A top rated actress such as Anna Hathway taking up a role so inconsequential in the film could have been her way to say, "This one, I do just to help the story reach out". Because the story did need to reach out. Not because it is one of its kind. But because there are so many similar cases being founded across the world.
