Let deaths be useful
Funny… the stray dog issue in Bangalore has actually gone global. There are letters to the editors of the newspapers being published everyday, which condemn the culling spree.
Yes, dogs are being killed… and it appears quite cruel… maybe it is cruel too. But what is funny is the way the media reacts to the whole situation. The government hardly has any liberty to decide something… something that might not draw flak from the media. Almost everything…
The recent union budget, which stresses on the importance of rural growth, has been criticized by certain section of the media. When the government initiates something that is city-centric the same media shouts aloud to point out that the government is not bothered about the agri sector. Governments such as Naidu’s in Andhra Pradesh have fallen to such reactions.
Coming back to the dogs… first protestors wanted safety from the strays and now they want the safety of the strays. The solution they provide is sterilization. Well, who gives the money for that? And even if the dogs are sterilized that does not stop them from attacking people.
For once lets get out of our hypocritical attitude and come ahead. Those who really care can adopt one dogs each… rest… does it matter if they are there or not? They could as well die.
Of course I would like to provide the authorities with an option… The dogs could be food for the animal in the zoo rather then dieing a useless death.
Vote for the solution. May death be useful.

Hy noyon..This is something i have been thinking abt from quite sometime, Its a very sensitive issue.
ReplyDeleteThough i love dogs, it does become imp for us to consider our safety first. I was shocked to read the recent incident abt how a kid was eaten alive by a pack of dogs. I mean common we dont want such incidents happening agn n agn.
Dogs are fine as long as thy dont harm us. Once thy do..its high time we do smething abt it.
BTW..ur post has brought out an interesting point of view. Heights of cynicism portrayed by media. Good one.
