Setback for Assam
The National Games has been postponed to February next year since the works on the staudium is yet to be completed. The games will be held from to 8 to 18 February.
The construction will be completed in time for the games to be held in late Novermber but the IOC
has decided that it does not want to strain on the atlethics before South Asian Federation Games in December.
Meanwhile the Assam Government has been fined Rs 1 crore for its inability to complete works.
