KRISSH... a story of Splendid SFX

Krissh released after much hype as the sequel of the blockbuster Koi Mil Gaya, which had seen Hritik putting up a magnificient act and rightly walking away with with loads of awards. Hritik is good in Krissh too. So is Naseeruddin Shah.

But acting alone doesnt make a film great. And Krissh has awsome SFX to back up the performances. The special effects may be termed as one of the best in Indian cinema till date. It's obvious that it cost money... loads of it.

However the story of the film is not something which would excite a general film lover, leave alone a critic. Krissh is the son of the 'Jadoo gifted' Rohit of Koi Mil Gaya, who is brought up by his granny Rekha..door kahi pahariyo me, hiding him from the selfish world. But Priyanka comes in and there goes down the drain all the efforts of granny to keep her grandson away from the world. Hritik lands up in SIngapore after a couple of song and dance routines only to realise thathis love (who by now starts loving him really) actually does not love him. So granny was right and he decides to pack his bags back to his village.
Just before he is baout to leave comes in the king of surprises... and Krissh has to fulfil his duty as a son. He has to destroy a corrupt scientist who dreams of becoming GOD!

Not much of a story. The film ends with Jadoo's space craft showing up in the sky..leaving the audience with the feeling ..."Bhaiya ab kya jadoo apne Bhatije se milega?"

The music is decent not outstanding. Rajesh Roshan mixes folk and western to good effect.

The Locales, the village of Krissh looks awsome... no idea where it is.

Hey wondering where Naseer sahab figures in all this. He is the corrupt scientist.

Well, go on watch the movie for the SFX if nothin else!

One more thing... As the movie starts, u kinda get confuse if this the movie you came to watch or is a Ad-film for TIDE, BOURNVITA, FABER CASTLE...and many others. Indeed Ads in films have become huge business!
